I know I will be seeing you all soon, but I thought I would give some updates from Costa Rica. I am still having a blast, but I cant wait to come home at the same time. Weird huh? Anyway, My Spanish is not that great. While I was living with a Costa Rican family I was forced to remember stuff and I was able to understand them after repetition usually, but since I have left the family, I have not needed to try that much, so I am being lazy and wont be able to speak or understand squat when I come home. Right now I am staying at the last place that I will before I come home. it is called The La Selva research station, it is an educational program for tropical studies. There are lots of other students and scientist doing research here. Since the last time I posted, we have stayed at a few ranchos, and Haciendas (ranches, and farms) they have been pretty cool place. Highlights have been a canopy tour, which is basically riding a zip line through the rain forest. This was very awesome I had some amazing views. Also we hiked to a beautiful waterfall that I jumped off into the water below, there is a great picture of this. A few other great hikes and nature walks have been fantastic as well. I am learning so much about rainforests, and renewable energy we have gone to a few different types of power plants, wind, geothermal, hydro, and a few places we have stayed have used solar power. Costa Rica is great, pretty much every town and place we stay is recycling like crazy and using organic food. And I have hardly seen any incandescent light bulbs. There are dogs everywhere, which is very fun for me, of course. I am not enjoying my physics class as much. There is some math that I am just not used to. But it is alright there are some braniacs here to help me out. Anyway, I cannot wait to see you all. It sounds like there has been a lot of fun and new things happening while I have been here. Happy Birthday to everyone that had a birthday. Congratulations on the promotion Dad. Well, I love you all and I will see you soon.

Devon, you sound so grown up talking about power plants and zip lining through the forest. I sometimes forget that you aren't just my baby brother, but that you are this amazing person that is really going to make a difference in this world. I am so happy for you and all that you are experiencing. Love you and see you soon!
